28.6.2012 Dear parents and caregivers I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for another wonderful term, and a very big thank you to all of you that have offered to help us in room 4a. We feel we have had a brilliant term and we look forward to having an exciting term three. Our first topic will be Road Safety so keep an eye out for all the fabulous work we are going to produce. To all the wonderful parents that are involved in room 4a. I wish to thank you all for the tremendous support you give your children and myself in and out of the classroom. Tomorrow as part of your childs home work I will be sending home a white paper plate, this is so you can work with your child to create a clown mask which they will be wearing book week. If you need elastic or anything else to help you complete your mask just let me know, I am sure I will have it in my cupboard of tricks and bits. If possible can these be returned by Monday 11.6. For those parents who are aware of the help Mrs Turner has been giving the children and the year two teachers over these last months, she has now left us to do a wonderful tour overseas for six weeks. The children and I are truely going to miss her as her help has been invaluable, so we have decded to stay in touch by e-mail and follow her on the journey.
I would just like to say a very big thank you to all those parents that helped out on the zoo trip and all of you that offered. Without your help our school trips could never take place. All of the children had a fantastic day which went very smoothly without any hiccups. As you can see our wiki seems to be up and going so please keep visiting our site as we are all very excited in room4a. Just a reminder when your child does write on their wiki it is all their own work but as the term goes on you will see that I have placed small individual comments on their page for them to edit. A very warm welcome to all. My name is Lorraine Field the classroom teacher of 4a. I have a beautiful group of children in my class and I am looking forward to a wonderful productive year full of fun learning. This Friday is the year 2 assembly and our class is doing a play called Our Classroom Pet the children have all been working very hard and we will be making the most of the next 4 days to practice.
